Arrowsmith had a choice of going Ice Skating, Skiing or Snowboarding I chose Ice Skating. Ski/Skate day was on Wednesday, it took us a hour to get there, it was TOTALLY worth it. I liked the disco part when the lights turned off and the music started. By the time it ended I was so awesome. But twice my knee landed in the wrong position, My gloves were covered in frost so I clapped hands with Emma and frost went EVERYWHERE! What was annoying was that a teenager tripped me over and didn't even say sorry. I fell asleep on the bus ride home, so did Emma. I had a amazing time! and if I have to rate it I would do 10/10! I'm defiantly going to have to go there again, thank you to the parents and teachers for making this possible!
Last year we did speeches in Term 3 but this Term 3 we're doing Performance. The type of things we are doing are:
.Songs(Men black and Take it easy.)
.Sasa, Poi and Rakau
Men in Black was created before the world cup so the teachers changed the words a bit. Hutt has already done their Performance but I missed it. There will also be a job for the lights and sound but I don't think I'm up to those jobs.
I wonder what else we will do for the Performance?
I'm not really the sporty type but I do want to play Hockey for Winter Tournament again because I enjoy giving things a go. I was put in the B Team, there is a B Team and a A Team in Hockey and A Team is the good players B Team is not so good or beginners. I don't play hockey on Saturdays but Skip (one of our hockey teachers) said I was doing good at stealing the ball, to bad it was cold for me on the Winter Tournament day.
For our score we didn't do that good because everyone in our team wasn't passing the ball or seeing who they were passing it to but we won to round and that's good for a B Team A Team won every round expect the final where they drawed but the newly last round was, whoever scored first their team won and...
They won! Go Team A and Three cheers for Skip and Mrs Muir
WOW!! Term 2 done well doesn't life go fast? I'm looking forward to term 3, I wonder what the teachers have ready for us. 2 more terms and I'm in intermediate exciting
Watch this sideshow and see all types of experiments we've been doing!!
Arrowsmith did bob ball in the tinwald hall at the middle of the day. In bob ball there are six players, five people line up behind each other and the other other person stands facing them holding the ball. The person with the ball throws it to the first person in line and that person catches the ball and throws it back. Then they bob down, this repeats until the last person at the back of the line catches the ball, then the back person will run to the front while the other person who started will run to the front of the line. Now it should be that the person who was at the back will be a the spot that they can face the other players, and the other person who started will be a the front of the line. This will repeat until that first person is facing the players again.
On Thursday 22 May Manuka did a experiment using only: Vinegar, Baking soda, Balloon and a Bottle. Step one was put the Vinegar into the bottle, Step Two was Stretching out the neck of the balloon, Step Three was pouring the Baking soda in the Balloon, step Four was putting the neck of the Balloon to the neck of the bottle, Step Five was lifting the balloon up. The Baking soda mixed with the Vinegar causing a Chemical Reaction plus making carbon dioxide which made the balloon fill up with air.
