On Friday 21st February there was a assembly. I got two awards and one was a principal's award. A principal award is a very big award because it is very special. In room 9 everyone votes for a person who has been showing the key competency in class. I was actually shocked when Mr Livingstone (our principal) called out my name because I had never gotten a principal's award in the 1st assembly of the year. I was also really happy because I love getting awards and putting them up on the wall in my room.
Today was the student council elections. A student council elections is where a couple of people stand up in the front of the class and tell them why they should vote for you as a student councilor. I stood in front of the class and talked to them. I was really excited because you might become a student councilor or deputy councilor. I ended up at the position of deputy councilor. I was very happy because my dream was to become a student councilor or deputy council. Well done to Jack who became Manuka's (Room 9's) student councilor for 2014. THANK YOU TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR ME TO BE YOUR STUDENT COUNCILOR!!!!!
I have finished the triathlon and I think I ended up 1st with Aleesha or 2nd. The part I loved the most was passing my best friend Marlese because my goal was to pass her. Getting 2nd was really good for me because my goal was not to come last. I think my biking was good because I only got past by Aleesha and I also past a lot of people including Marlese and Asleigh. I love passing people!!! Out of biking, swimming and running, running was the worst. I just can't run a long distant because I get the stitch (badly).
Today is the triathlon. I am very nervous because this is the 1st time I have entered as a individual. If you enter as an individual you have to swim, bike AND run. It sounds very tiring doesn't it? I am worried about putting my shoes on my wet feet. I have a feeling that putting my shoes on will let me down but I know there is no point worrying. I just need to try my best!!!!
On Tuesday 11th of February Arrowsmith syndicate had a water fight. The water fight is a Handle The Jandle challenge. The aim of this water fight is not to get wet. My friends and I were all hiding in the bush at the end of the field. it was a perfect day for a water fight because it was so hot!! nobody was around us. But then a boy came with a sponge in hands. Then Alex came to shoo him away. I was so glad that the boy had run away. In the end nobody wet us so we were still dry but Room 9 didn't win. I think everyone in Arrowsmith had fun!!!!!
